Three tools to automate and level up your newsletter
These tools are helping me and others write better newsletters, faster.

Best tools to improve newsletter research, repurposing, and engagement
TL;DR: Here are three tools I’ve been using to improve content research, repurposing, and engagement across multiple newsletters, saving time while increasing output.
3 AI-Powered tools to streamline your newsletter workflow
I’ve been testing a few tools over the past couple of months—some for my own newsletter, others while helping clients. And three of them have earned a permanent spot in my stack.
They solve very different problems, but all share one trait: they remove friction. Whether that’s finding sources, repurposing content, or engaging your audience beyond the inbox.
Here’s the breakdown.
1. Gumloop – AI automations for content research
If you ever feel stuck when researching ideas, sources, or trends, Gumloop is a great way to speed things up without sacrificing quality.
It’s an automation layer powered by AI, where you can build workflows that scan the web, collect links, summarize them, or spot cool trends to inspire you during the writing process.
I’ve been using it mostly to:
Track emerging topics in specific verticals
Surface relevant articles
Build up research for future issues without manually digging for hours
It’s like giving your research process a smart assistant that works in the background while you focus on writing.
2. Swell AI – Repurpose videos and podcasts
I don’t run a podcast (yet), but some newsletters do, and repurposing longform audio or video into written content is always a pain.
Swell AI has been making this a lot easier.
You upload a podcast episode or video, and it breaks it down into usable chunks: summaries, outlines, quotes, even full blog posts or newsletter drafts.
It’s not magic, but it gets you 80% of the way there. You still edit and refine, but having a structured base is a huge time-saver.
If you’re sitting on hours of content, this can turn it into weeks of writing material.
3. Perspective – Cool funnels that boost engagement
If you’re looking for a cleaner, more engaging way to generate leads, Perspective is worth checking out.
It’s a mobile-first quiz builder that lets you create interactive experiences to engage with your subscribers.
I've used it to:
Warm up leads with interactive quizzes
Segment subscribers based on preferences
Build micro-funnels that lead back into services or products
It’s well-designed, fast, and doesn’t feel like a clunky “marketing form”, which is the reason why I prefer quizzes over traditional forms.
